SIMPLE EGG-FRIED RICE

SIMPLE EGG-FRIED RICE

Simple Egg-Fried Rice

Serve: 2

Ingredients:

300 gram                  Cooked Thai Jasmine rice

2 clove                       Garlic – peeled and finely chopped

1-2                              Spring onion – finely sliced

1                                  Egg

2 tbs                           Rapeseed oil

2/3 tbs                       Fish sauce

2/3 tbs                       Oyster sauce

1/4 tsp                       Lemon juice

1 pinch                      Salt and pepper

1 pinch                      Paprika powder (optional)

Method

-Crack and beat the egg into a small bowl then set aside.

-Heat the oil in a frying pan, then add the garlic and cook until the garlic turns slightly golden in colour.

-Add Thai Jasmine rice, fish sauce and oyster sauce then stir until all the ingredients are combined.

-Push the fried rice to the side of the pan. So you will have space to cook the egg.

– Add a little oil in that space, and in goes the beaten egg. Leave until the egg is slightly cooked. Then stir the rice and egg together.

– Put a pinch of salt, pepper, lemon juice and spring onion then stir. Transfer this lovely fried rice onto a serving dish, sprinkle with a little paprika powder (optional) and serve this simple egg-fried rice immediately.

Tip:

-The great secret of a good simple egg-fried rice is: you must prepare Thai Jasmine rice in advance and leave it to cool before cooking the fried rice (make sure you keep them in the appropriate environment).

-You can also use the ready cooked rice from the supermarket if you haven’t got a lot of time.

-This is a very quick cook recipe using delicate ingredients. Please make sure that you keep a close eye whilst cooking as they easily get burnt.

Happy cooking!
