GARLIC AND PEPPER PRAWNS

GARLIC AND PEPPER PRAWNS

Garlic and pepper prawns

Garlic and Pepper Prawns

Serve: 1

Ingredients:

180 gram                    Raw king prawns

2 clove                        Garlic – finely chopped

2 tbs                            Coconut Oil

1/2 tsp                        Fish sauce

1/4 tsp                        Ground pepper

1/4 tsp                        Sugar

1/4 tsp                        Water

1 splash                      Dark soy sauce

Method

-Heat the coconut oil in a frying pan. Then quickly add the garlic and prawns, stir-fry for approx 1 minute.

-Add the fish sauce, ground pepper, sugar, water and dark soy sauce and stir-fry until the prawns are cooked. Usually, it will take no longer than 5 minutes.

-Serve this speedy Garlic and Pepper Prawns with steamed Thai Jasmine rice and fresh vegetables of your choice. I am having it with cooked brown rice and quinoa.

Tip:

-The secret of a good stir-fry is the heating.  Turn the hob to a medium to high heat while cooking Garlic and Pepper Prawns and make sure you keep an eye on the pan at all time as the ingredients are easily burnt.

-You can replace the prawns with other types of meat. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.

-I love serving the Garlic and Pepper dish with a creamy fried egg.

-This is a gluten-free recipe.

Happy cooking!
