Prawn Toast

Serve: 1

Ingredients :

110 gram                           Raw king prawns – peeled
20 gram                            Sesame seeds
5 gram                               Coriander stems
2-3 slice                            White bread
1                                         Egg (small)
1 clove                               Garlic
1 teaspoon                        Oyster sauce
1/4 teaspoon                    Sugar
1/4 teaspoon                    Lime Juice
1 pinch                              Salt and white pepper
1 wedge                             Lemon
2-3                                     Coriander leaves
400ml                               Frying oil

Method

-Blend the raw king prawns, garlic, coriander stems, egg, sugar, oyster sauce, salt, ground white pepper and lime juice in an electric blender until they form a smooth paste.

-Transfer the paste into a small bowl and put it in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

-Spread the prawn mixture on the white bread. Then sprinkle with sesame seed.

-Heat the oil at 160 Celsius then fry the prawn toast until the prawn mixture is cooked. Usually, it will take 2-3 minutes.

-Transfer the cooked Prawn toast on a kitchen towel to soak up all the excess oil.

-Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with lemon wedge, leafy salad and sweet chilli sauce. Yummm.

Tips:

-Make sure you keep an eye on the prawn toast while frying. Keep turning as it can easily get burnt.

-Gluten intolerance? You can use gluten-free bread and gluten-free oyster sauce instead.
