Tofu with Ginger and Spring Onion Stir-Fry
230 gram Deep fried tofu
80 gram Onion-sliced
80 gram Spring onion-sliced
30 gram Ginger-peeled and julienne sliced
3 clove Garlic-finely chopped
2 tbs Rapeseed Oil
1 tbs Oyster sauce
3/4tbs Fish sauce
1 tsp Sugar
1/2tsp Light soya sauce
1 pinches Ground black pepper
80 ml Water
-Put the oil and onion into the frying pan. Stir-fry the onion until it turns translucent.
-Add the garlic and stir until the garlic turns golden in colour. Keep the very close eyes while cooking the garlic as it is easily burnt.
-Add the tofu, oyster sauce, fish sauce, light soya sauce and sugar. Then stir for further 2 minutes.
-Add the ginger, spring onion and water then stir-fry for further 3 minutes.
-Transfer Tofu with Ginger and Spring Onion Stir-Fry on the serving plate and sprinkle with a pinch of ground black pepper and enjoy.
-Stir-fry is all about timing and right heat. I often adjust the hob to low heat whilst cooking the onion. Then turns to medium to high heat while cooking the rest. Make sure you keep close eyes whilst cooking the stir-fry though.
