TURKEY LOLLIPOPS IN SRIRACHA SAUCE

Turkey Lollipops in Sriracha Sauce

Serve: 2

Ingredients for Turkey Lollipops:

500 gram                            Minced turkey

2 tablespoon                      Breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon                          Thai red curry paste

1 teaspoon                          Sugar

3/4 teaspoon                     Salt

Ingredients for Sriracha Sauce:

2.5 tablespoon                     Sriracha sauce

2.5 tablespoon                     Sugar

2 tablespoon                        Oil

1.5 tablespoon                     Light soy sauce

1 tablespoon                        Oyster sauce

1 tablespoon                        Water

1/2 teaspoon                       Garlic granules

1/2 teaspoon                       Ginger Puree

 

 

 

 

Method

-Preheat the oven to 200 Celsius.

-Put the turkey minced, Thai red curry paste, salt, sugar and breadcrumbs in a bowl, mix all ingredients well by hand, then shape the mixture into balls.

-Bake in the oven for approx 20 minutes.

-Gently heat the oil, Sriracha sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, ginger puree, garlic granules, sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens slightly.

– Remove the meatballs out of the oven. Pour half of the sauce to cover all the meatballs. Put them back in the oven and bake for a further 5 minutes.

-Take the meatballs and transfer on a serving plate, pour the rest of the sauce, garnish with chopped coriander. Serve hot or cold.

Tip:

-There is some juice on the tray after you bake the turkey lollipops. Feel free to add it into the sauce and cook further until the sauce thickens.

-This turkey lollipop has got such an intense flavour and is so versatile. Great in a baguette, salad or steamed Thai Jasmine Rice.

-Make sure you get good quality oyster sauce and soy sauce if possible, it will make such a big difference.
