Serve: 2-3

Ingredients:

300 gram                             Lean mince turkey

15-20                                    Spring roll pastry sheet

4 tbs                                      Coconut oil

1 tsp                                      Sugar

1 tsp                                      Corn flour

1 tsp                                      Oyster sauce

1/2 tsp                                  Fish sauce

1/4 tsp                                  Salt

1/4 tsp                                  Ground pepper

1                                             Small bowl of water

Method

Pre-heat the oven to 200 Celsius.

-Put the mince turkey, sugar, corn flour, oyster sauce, fish sauce, salt and ground pepper into a mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients until combined.

-Lay the spring roll pastry on a chopping board. Then put about 1 teaspoon of the mince turkey mixture onto each pastry sheet. Fold the sheet into a triangle shape, then dampen the wonton edge with the water using your hand or a brush. Repeat this process until you finish with all the turkey mixture.

-Put the coconut oil in a frying pan. Fry the wontons until they turn slightly golden in colour. Then transfer them onto a baking tray.

-Spread the wontons separately onto the baking tray. Then bake them until the turkey is cooked and the pastry turns into a darker golden brown colour. Usually, it will takes about 6-8 minutes.

-Serve these light yet satisfying turkey meatball wontons with sweet chilli dipping sauce.

Tips:

-You can also use filo pastry for this turkey meatball wonton recipe. Make sure you cut the filo pastry into approx 5″ * 5″. Also adjust the baking times accordingly.

-I like to serve the wontons with salad or use them as a crispy garnish for my noodle soup.
